Statement Asymmetric Triangle Necklace Resin+Wood
Feel the power of the mighty Phoenix with this stunning one-of-a-kind pendant that is lightweight, stylish and simply beautiful. Each pendant is hand-cut into the shape of an asymmetric triangle, or toki, representing strength, courage and leadership.
The necklace features a traditional wrapping at the top of the pendant with an adjustable black waxed cord. Each pendant measures approximately 10cm long and 3cm at the widest point.
Each pendant is made from an environmentally friendly bio-resin - a product that utilises up to 40% recycled and waste plant material. Pieces of recycled wood, sourced from home demolished following the 2011 Christchurch Earthquakes, are embedded in the resin.

As Seen at NYFW
This piece is part of the New York Collection and was showcased at FlyingSolo, New York Fashion Week 2020
This collection celebrates the bravery of our collective ancestors who honoured the deep pull of adventure and exploration beyond their known world. No matter where in the world your blood-line journeys back to, our ancestors all chose to seek new shores and lands beyond their view, past the horizons they could see.
In this world of 2020, we experience a world that has contracted and closed down. It is a world that is dominated by fear of the unknown, anxiety about a future that we cannot see nor control. The New York collection takes that fear and turns it into intrepid curiosity.
Borrowing from those who come before us, this collection reminds us that the world is still beautiful, that it is full of opportunity to grow and learn and add value. Each piece offers us strength in adversity, freedom in confinement, courage to trust that the wind beneath our wings will not fail us.
Let us seek adventure, be intrepid and curious. Let us be resilient and brave; let us have hope!
"Hope” is the thing with feathers, that perches in the soul. And sings the tune without the wordsand never stops at all.
And sweetest, in the Gale, is heard. And sore must be the storm. That could abash the little Bird, that kept so many warm.
I’ve heard it in the chillest land, and on the strangest Sea.Yet, never, in Extremityit asked a crumb of me.
About this collection: The Phoenix
The Phoenix rises from the ashes of its destruction and brings forth great wisdom, resilience and powers unseen before. I am forever changed by the trials that I experience and these offer me a beautiful balance between creation and destruction, life and death, growth and stability. I understand that when I am cast into the fires of my life, a little piece of me dies. I am forever transformed and I am offered a choice. I choose to rise up from the ashes of my destruction and bring the wisdom I have with me for the benefit of others. I embrace the challenges that I face. I choose to let go of what I was to fully envelop and accept who I am becoming.
I am the Phoenix
(This collection embraces the power of the phoenix with pieces that are made from the destruction of the 2011 Christchurch Earthquakes, an event that changed me forever and cast me upon the path-way that would eventually bring me before you as a jewelry designer today)
