All of my beautiful sandcast rings are made directly into beach, river or desert sand. The default options are for a delicately textured piece made in beach sand from my home in Christchurch, New Zealand. Or if you prefer a heavily textured piece, I use river sand from our highest mountain in New Zealand, Aoraki Mt Cook.

But perhaps there is a special place in your life that you would like to honour? You can send me sand from that special place and I will make your treasure in that sand. It is my belief, and the belief of my people, that some places call us home; some places we feel a sense of belonging to. We call this Tūrangawaewae – which translates to “the place where I stand”.

When you place your order please select the option to send in your own sand. I will add your sand to help texture your treasure and to impart that feeling of home and belonging to your piece of jewellery. There is no extra charge for this option, other than for you to send me your sand.
