Cast individually in sustainable New Zealand beach or river sand, these beautiful, organic earrings are made from recycled sterling silver or 9ct Alluvial Gold from New Zealand. Each earring has it’s own unique texture reflecting the sand within which it is created. Your mini moon e earrings measure approximately 7-8mm in diameter and are a full sphere. You can select from handmade earhooks, studs or hoops/sleepers as the finishing for your earrings.
Reflecting the power and presence of the moon, these earrings were inspired by nights watching the full moon rise over the ocean. The moon pulls upon our souls just as it pulls on the very water in the oceans. These are powerful reminders of the ebb and flow of life; that all of us go through cycles and phases and that the darkness compliment the light.
These earrings feature a beautiful sandcast texture which has been designed to connect you to a place, offer you a sense of belonging and remind you of all those who have come before you. Inspired by the Māori concept of tūrangawaewae, often translated as ‘a place to stand’. Tūrangawaewae are places where we feel especially empowered and connected.
Select from our collection of New Zealand sand, or send in your own sand from YOUR special place. Please get in touch to discuss requirements if you wish to send sand from outside of New Zealand as there may be customs and import restrictions.
