Kia ora, I am Sonia Therese. Congratulations, you find me now in a phase of deliberate creativity! I am moving slowly, intentionally and purposefully dropping complexity in everything I do. I am letting go of needing to control absolutely everything, opening myself up to a different way of making jewellery and doing business.
One thing you learn in 10 years of designing jewellery, making treasures and building a business, is that there are patterns of behaviour that repeatedly show up. I noticed a really unsustainable pattern of creative bursts followed by periods of insecurity, self doubt, and retreat. To compensate, I worked beyond my resources to make up for these periods of time and energy. Ultimately, it burned me out.
Things have changed. Things have changed a lot!
