Inspired by one of the oldest and most recognised symbols in Māori design, the toki carries strength, courage, and the quiet leadership of doing the hard thing anyway. Each earring features a single mangōpare design, a traditional kōwhaiwhai pattern representing the hammerhead shark, known for its determination and strength when changing direction. Together, they are a small but steady reminder that real strength is not standing still, it is having the courage to move.

3D printed individually in PLA, these toki earrings have a strong yet comforting feel in the hand, with the mangōpare design pierced right through so light shows through the pattern itself.
Each piece is hand-finished with stainless steel earhooks and made to order in small batches in Christchurch, Aotearoa.
